Fun Fashion - Threader Earrings

My daughter loves earrings and has a lot of unique shapes and sizes. Some of her favorites include a pair made from tiny jawbones, and another pair made from actual resin-dipped mushrooms. However, she recently discovered threader earrings and loves the unique look.

Threader earrings are basically earrings that "thread" through the piercing hole with a delicate chain. This creates some flexibility with how the earrings hang, and a three-dimensional layered look with the earring both in front of and behind the lobe.

There are several ways to try these earrings out. One way is a traditional, symmetrical look, with earrings in both ears. Another way is to wear mismatched, but coordinating threader earrings, or a threader earring in one ear with no earring or a coordinating earring in the other ear.

There are also creative ways to put them in your ear. If you have multiple piercings and a long enough threader earring, you can thread them through multiple holes, draping in between. They can also be connecting to piercings in other parts of the ear, such as a cartilage piercing. Or you can consider stacking several coordinating threader earrings in multiple holes.

There are a few things to consider when wearing threader earrings. First of all, if you really want to make a statement, then short hair or an updo are best. For a more subtle approach, the threader can frame your face with a relaxed hair look. They also work with either a high neckline, or a lower neckline and coordinating necklace. Because the threaders are delicate, they'll work with either a delicate, matching necklace, or a chunkier, contrasting necklace.

Threader earrings exist for a variety of style preferences. You can find simple, minimalist chains with no adornment or only a very small stone. There are also more formal, glitzy options. They even make edgy threader earrings that might work with an urban or goth style.

If you haven't considered threader earrings yet but like to keep your wardrobe fresh, consider looking for one or a pair! They add a unique look that can be subtle or daring, and will complement any fashion style.
