Rising country artist
Julia Cole is poised to be the voice of reason this cuffing season with her new track
“What Could Go Wrong,” out now. Written by Cole, Danielle Blakey and Willie Morrison, the brutally honest tune serves as a reminder of why your ex is your ex, urging listeners to not repeat the same toxic cycle – even with Valentine's Day looming. Taking inspiration from Cole's own personal experiences of her loved ones giving her the same advice, the track details the uncomfortable truth of an almost inevitable heartbreak, ultimately leaving it up to the listener to decide:
what could go wrong?
“Sisterhood is never letting your girls get back with their terrible exes, no matter how much they miss 'em,” said Cole. “Hopefully, through this song, I can be that sister to anyone out there needing the reminder to stay strong.”
Cole is currently making her mark at Country radio with her single “Day Late & A Buck Short.” The track was deemed as one of the best country songs of 2025 by Holler, surpassing 270M views across all platforms and counting. The song has been featured on SiriusXM's The Highway, Spotify's Hot Country, Apple Music's Today's Country and more.
The songstress is looking ahead to a year of touring, including stops at Stagecoach and overseas at C2C Festival, as well as a soon to be announced headline tour. Cole has toured with some of country music's biggest names including Jelly Roll, Dierks Bentley and more.
