Travel Tidbits - MIMARU and Any Wear, Anywhere

The viral Pokémon-themed hotel in Japan just added a feature that feels straight out of an RPG quality-of-life update: you can now leave your clothes at home.

MIMARU, the apartment-style hotel brand behind Japan’s wildly popular Pokémon Rooms, has partnered with Any Wear, Anywhere, a clothing-sharing platform from Sumitomo Corporation, to let international guests rent everyday outfits delivered directly to their hotel.

Fans flying in to stay in MIMARU’s fully immersive Pokémon apartment suites, now available across 10 locations in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, can pack light, arrive to find clothes waiting in their room, wear them during their stay, and return them before checkout. No checked bag. No suitcase full of laundry.

The Pokémon Rooms themselves were recently expanded and renovated, featuring 100+ Pokémon woven into the walls, kitchens, and bath areas, plus the now-iconic giant Snorlax plush centerpiece and exclusive take-home merchandise.

The clothing service is live now as a trial through March 2026, with reservations open through November 2026.
