One minute you are leading a major resuscitation, and the next you are examining the throat of a righteously indignant toddler who will express their outrage vocally. After a dose of Paracetamol and Peppa Pig, the same toddler will approach the desk and run a toy car up and down your arm to get your attention. You encounter these extremes in the same shift, which is what makes the work varied and joyful”. Caroline says.
