Book Nook - Same Page Parenting: Align with Your Partner to Raise Happy, Confident, and Resilient Kids

Parenting seems to invite advice and unsolicited opinions, but this can. make it hard sometimes to be true to your own values and expectations. I had a chance to review Same Page Parenting: Align with Your Partner to Raise Happy, Confident, and Resilient Kids

[Ulysses Press; March 2026]. In the book, author and registered clinical counselor Martina Nova helps parents, caregivers, extended family, and co-parents create a shared vision for their unique family unit. It's not necessarily about rejecting advice, it's about figure out what pieces of advice fits with your own families priorities, values, and situation.

It's an excellent read for those who are preparing for parenthood, but it's also appropriate for those who are currently parenting, especially those who may be struggling to find a united from with their partner or with a co-parent. The conversation prompts are helpful and also realistic, providing discussion starters to make sure everyone presents a united front.

The book is also appropriate for the times, touching on digital issues, mental health topics, social consciousness, trauma, neurodivergence, and much more (as a parent of two neurodivergent kids, I definitely appreciated the inclusion of that as a specific topic).

Although I'm at the end of my child parenting journey, there were definitely some things in the book that would have been nice to read when my kids were younger! It's a great resource for prospective and new parents.
