Website Spotlight - LingoKids

I recently had a chance to do a lunch & learn with LingoKids, an app that aims to take the guilt out of screen time.

One thing I really like is that the company's goal is not that kids are on screens on the time. Instead, it's to be a quality app for when parents do give their kids screen time. By combining education and entertainment, the app is providing an experience that is safe for kids and better than mindlessly watching cartoons all the time (and honestly, lots of kids in my generation just watched TV - having to interact with educational apps is better than that).

The company recently released its Interactive Entertainment Report that explores some of the implications of the changing landscape of entertainment. The app itself is full of a lot of kid-friendly features - and things parents will love. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, and nothing inappropriate for kids. Instead, it has favorite characters, learning games and stories, and lots of partner content with quality providers like NASA and licensed characters from Disney and other entertainment providers.

It's a pretty decent value too - cheaper than streaming sites! There is a free version with a limited number of activities per day and a free trial option to check it out.
