Book Nook - A Coven of Witches

 I recently had a chance to review A Coven of Witches (publishing July 14), a book that reimagines witches from folklore, legends, and history - figures like Baba Yaga, Circe, and the Salem Witch Trials.

The book is written for middle grade readers, which means that although they are eerie and slightly spooky, they aren't at all gory. I also like that the figures come from around the world, potentially inspiring more research into the stories of the figures that inspired the tales in the book. It's a beautiful book with haunting illustrations that are perfect for the mood of the stories it contains. It's a great read for anyone interested in legends and slightly dark tales - and a perfect book for later in the year to curl up with on a creepy blustery fall day!
