A few key findings:
- Concord Padgett Regional (USA) in North Carolina is the most affordable regional airport at $117 a ticket.
- Small airports near major cities average under $200. Remote ones near oilfields or ski resorts run closer to $600.
- Tri-Cities Airport (TRI) in Tennessee was one of only two regional airports where airfare jumped by at least $50 last year.
