Book Nook - Being in the Age of AI: A Guide to Personal Well-Being in the Era of Artificial Intelligence

As students head back to school, AI has quickly become part of the learning experience—but many parents and educators are still grappling with the same question: How do we embrace AI without sacrificing curiosity, critical thinking, and well-being?

While much of the conversation around AI in schools has focused on cheating and screen time, Poonacha Machaiah, entrepreneur, AI thought leader, and author believes we're missing the bigger opportunity. Used intentionally, AI can personalize learning, improve accessibility, and give students and teachers more time to focus on creativity, problem-solving, and meaningful human interaction. The challenge isn't whether children should use AI—it's helping them learn when to rely on it and when to rely on themselves.

Drawing on years of work at the intersection of technology, neuroscience, and human well-being, Poonacha's perspective moves beyond AI hype or fear, showing families how to use these tools while preserving human skills that matter most in his book Being in the Age of AI: A Guide to Personal Well-Being in the Era of Artificial Intelligence.
