We just went to our state's fair, where my daughter was inspired by the entries in the creative activities to start working on some new projects. One thing that particularly impressed her was the variety of quilts that were shown. So it was very appropriate that I returned home to this press release! The Block of the Month might be a good way for her to get started.
Janome has teamed up with Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts, a designer with a devoted following in the quilting world, on a limited-edition collection: two customized machines (CM6 LBQ and 5300 LBQ) featuring her signature fabric-inspired designs, available for pre-order now through Janome dealers, arriving in stores by end of September.
Alongside the machines, Janome is launching a three-month Block of the Month kit built around a Snowflake and Winter Lace quilt design, stocked with fabric, a pattern, Sitar's own book, and matching accessories. Sitar guides participants through it herself via a three-part video series starting October 1. The kit hits dealers September 1 in limited quantities.
