Time Banks

I recently Stumbled Upon a neat idea - Time Banks!

From the website:
At its most basic level, Time banking is simply about spending an hour doing something for somebody in your community. That hour goes into the Time Bank as a Time Dollar. Then you have a Time dollar to spend on having someone doing something for you.

Basically, you offer a service, and get a service in return. Time banks are based solely on time, not on monetary value of the services. There is a wide variety of services offered, depending on the talents of the members, and Time Banks can be found in 27 states currently.

If you saw this on another blog somewhere, let me know so I can cross-link them as well!
