Wednesday World Wisdom: Laundry

Many laundry detergents and softeners use petroleum- and animal-based products to clean and soften clothes. Here are a variety of environmentally-friendly options. Many of them cost only pennies more per load than the standard versions.

For an alternative that is natural, and even cheaper than standard versions, try make-your-own recipes. These alternatives work just as well, and require a little more effort on the front end, but money savings in the long run.

Surprisingly, using vinegar does not make your clothes smell funny. Baking soda and vinegar are amazing household products that can do just about anything you need!
