Consumer Critique: Ghirardelli Chocolate

I recently tried some new Luxe Milk chocolate bars by Ghirardelli. I have always appreciated the quality of Ghirardelli chocolate, and these bars were no exception.

Luxe Milk Chocolate comes in five flavors: Almond, Hazelnut, Crisp, Milk (plain chocolate), and Duet (plain and dark chocolate layered). The flavors are clean, and although I am not a huge fan of nuts, the balance between nuts and chocolate was great. The nut flavor was not overpowering, and added a nice texture.

The biggest downside to the chocolate was that, with a name like Luxe Milk, I expected the texture of the chocolate to be the creamy, melt-in-your-mouth variety, like Hershey's Bliss candies. This had a crisper texture that I expected, but the taste made up for that.

These bars can be found in a variety of places, including Wal-Mart, Walgreens, and Target.
