Consumer Critique: Aveeno Baby Shampoo

As a member of BzzAgent I recently had the opportunity to try out some of their baby products, Essential Moisture Shampoo and Soothing Diaper Relief.

The diaper rash cream worked well. We don't have much of a problem with diaper rash with either girl, but when they did get it, this cream got rid of it very quickly. It's easy to spread, fragrance-free, and washes off hands easily. Most creams contain zinc oxide to provide the barrier between the skin and wetness; this cream also includes oat essence and willow herb to soothe and calm skin.

I was also pretty happy with the shampoo. I still mostly used it like a bubble bath, because that's how we always wash the girls, and it was effective at that too. It lathers up well, and finally got rid of my daughter's cradle cap (although that may also be because she's finally patient enough to let us scrub her head). It also incorporates natural ingredients, including wheat and oat essence, to keep hair smooth and conditioned. And it truly was gentle on skin; even when the soap got in their eyes they didn't show any signs of redness and irritation.

Aveeno Baby also makes many other baby products, including Wash & Shampoo (which I've tried and like as well), Daily Moisture Lotion, Soothing Relief Creamy Wash, Soothing Relief Moisture Cream, Soothing Bath Treatment, Calming Comfort Bath, Calming Comfort Lotion, and Continuous Protection Sunblock Lotion.
