I recently had the opportunity to try out some new products from Special K - Special K Fruit Crisps and Special K granola cereal.
Special K has a relatively easy-to-follow diet plan, for those who are looking for that. Essentially you have Special K cereal at breakfast, a shake or meal bar at lunch, a healthy dinner, and two Special K snacks throughout the day. They have protein drinks and things to help you feel full longer as part of the plan.
I don't follow the diet plan, but I do enjoy finding healthy snacks that taste good. I loved trying out the granola cereal. It is much more filling than regular cereal. The biggest disadvantage with granola is that it is very dense, which means that the servings are smaller and little bit more high-calorie. But if that keeps you from snacking, then you still come out ahead.
I really loved the fruit crisps. They come two flavors, blueberry and strawberry. Unfortunately, my husband and even my toddler daughter really loved them too, which means I didn't get to eat nearly as many as I would have liked! They really hit the spot - sweet, but not too sweet, and at 100 calories, it's a pretty guilt-free snack.
