The word "Koozala" is a derivative of a word from Sanskrit - "kushala" (health and well being). Koozala acts as a portal for storing health information for your whole family.
Many insurance companies and clinics now offer online health charts, but there isn't necessarily a cohesive system for transferring that information between clinic systems. Koozala acts as a free online place to store your family's records, and is completely portable. You can access it from the web using a computer, and is developing phone-based access as well. You can even include pets, if you choose.
“I wanted to create Koozala to give people access to their health care records like never before,” said Koozala creator, Ashish Gadnis. “By taking control of your health care records, you take control of your health, which can ultimately be lifesaving.”
You can also use it to update family members about health conditions, such as surgeries and recovery or other issues. You control your privacy rules, determining who gets to see the records. All records are stored in printer-friendly format as well, in case you need hard copies.
