Mealtime Magic: Homemade Pretzels

It is super easy to make your own homemade pretzels. All you need is bread dough, an egg, and toppings! Roll the bread dough out (whole wheat will give you a different texture than white), and slice into strips. Form into pretzels and let rise for about a half hour. Then whisk an egg and a splash of water. Brush over the pretzels, and then top with your desired toppings, such as cinnamon sugar, Parmesan, or sesame seeds. You could also leave some plain. Bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees. Plain pretzels can be drizzled with a powdered sugar glaze, melted chocolate chips, or many other fun toppings!
