Bounty: Making a Clean Difference

Here's a program from Bounty Paper Towels that I didn't know about: Make a Clean Difference. In partnership with the HandsOn Network (which includes 250+ Action Centers in 16 countries to create a volunteer network) and the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation (which is dedicated to provide urban youth with arts exposure and education), Bounty is uniting over 1,000 volunteers to clean up the learning environments of 30 public schools in 10 cities.

Notable participants include Mary J Bilge, Russell Simmons, Peter Facinelli of Twilight fame, Jennie Garth from 90210, and more. They even hit my home state of Minnesota, cleaning up Valley View, Stevenson, and Woodland schools in Minneapolis.

It's great to see celebrities and corporations working on behalf of schools that may not have the resources to really provide a great learning environment. Feel free to visit the HandsOn Network to see what volunteer opportunities there are in your area!
