Giveaway: #MyLivingStories $25 iTunes card

I know that you're supposed to limit screen time, especially for young kids, but I'll admit to using my iTouch as a reward or entertainment in certain circumstances. We used the iTouch to reward my daughter for pooping on the potty (although we've pretty much weaned her off of it) and I've also used it during those "5-minute" times when we're waiting somewhere and the wait has become extra long. But I do so carefully. I make sure that I have plenty of child-friendly apps, and she only gets it for 5-10 minutes at a time. Interactive stories are among my toddlers favorite apps. She loves being read to, and loves books. Between that and the memory games, she's easily entertained for the times I let her have the iTouch - and they're always the ones she chooses first.

Mom Central is promoting a new set of apps called My Living Stories, animated storybooks which bring both classics and new stories to the iPhone and iPod Touch.

They're storybooks that encourage preschoolers to interact with the stories, by reading alone or with the narration, and experiencing the interactive sounds and animation. A great bonus is that you can actually record your own voice (on either an iPhone or a iTouch with a microphone). The stories include: The Pea, King Midas, The Tortoise and the Hare, Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Mom Central is sponsoring a $25 iTunes giveaway. To enter, leave a comment with what you think your favorite story of the five would be.

To earn extra entries, do any of the following (each is a separate comment):
- Tweet about the giveaway (give me the link)
- Follow me on Twitter
- Follow my blog through Google
- Blog about the contest, then link to this giveaway (send the link in the comments)

Deadline is August 15th.

Disclosure - I am participating in the My Living Stories program by Mom Central on behalf of Decode Entertainment. I received 3 free apps and a gift card as a thank you for my participation.
