I was recently approached with an opportunity to review LeBootCamp, an online "weight loss and wellness lift" hosted by Valerie Orsoni. It's billed as the "#1 French diet" and boasts an impressive 92% success rate (with an average of 26 pounds lost).
The program isn't just a diet. It promotes a variety of healthy habits, based on research into the health effects of stress, exercise, glycemic index, and more. Each daily email contains a fitness tip, a nutrition tip, a recipe, and a bonus tidbit. You do begin the program with a "detox," but instead of being some weird fad detox, it's a day of eating only super-healthy foods. The program also emphasizes an early morning walk before eating anything, the theory being that the body will be forced to use stored calories (i.e., fat). This part of the program is really tough for me, since I pretty much have to eat something right away before I do anything, I'm that much of a breakfast girl.
I can't say that I've really lost weight on the program, but I started receiving the emails with a healthy BMI of 22.8 - and given that I have an athletic build after years of track, going any lower than that means that I lose muscle.
Besides the daily email, when you sign up you also get access to a forum, personal Q&A, recipes, exercises, and much more. The cost is $29/month if you go month-to-month, or $19/month for 3 months and $15/month for 6 months.
If you're looking for a weight loss plan that is flexible, sensible, and healthy, check it out!
