Healthy Habits: Appetite Control

Want to keep your appetite to a healthy level? There are a lot of little things you can do that don't require major habit changes.

When it comes to food, make sure you aren't drinking calories. Give up pop and make sure you aren't drinking too much fruit juice, shakes, etc. Eat foods with a high volume but low calories, like melons, berries, and veggies. Eat vegetarian at least once in a while, and make sure to get plenty of protein and fiber. But don't deprive yourself. Treats are ok in moderation, and prevent binges later.

Eat breakfast regularly, and always use dishes when you eat.

Non-food habits help your appetite too. Get enough sleep and exercise, and use smaller plates. This will keep you from just filling up the space.
