If you live in Wisconsin (or nearby), and are looking for a fun Halloween family activity, the Cave of the Mounds HOLLOW-een Celebration will be going on October 27 to 30. From the press release: "Gemstone treats await costumed youngsters in the warm lighted cave environment. Enjoy a family friendly event all weekend long with sugar free treats! NEW this year: Experience part of the cave in a different light, with the lovely luminescence and glow of candles!" On Friday, they'll also be having a candlelight hike - that sounds like fun!
Cave of the Mounds is open daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm. One hour guided tours depart frequently. They are located just 20 miles west of Madison off Highways 18 and 151. No reservations necessary. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please call 608.437.3038.
