Giveaway: Building Blocks of Learning

Does your kid struggle in school? Do they show signs of dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, or another Learning difference? There's a program out there, developed by Lisa Harp, certified teacher, learning disability specialist, and educational therapist for over twenty years. This program works differently from other school help programs. Instead of just giving more drills that a student may already be doing incorrectly, it incorporates brain retraining to actually help the student's brain learn better. The series of exercises, designed to be done on a regular basis, will help re-wire the brain and fill in missing gaps that may be contributing to a host of problems - whether or not your child has been diagnosed with a specific learning impairment.

I haven't looked at many of them, yet, but some of the exercises look like they could be pretty fun games for younger students. Older students may find them kind of silly, but there's a logic behind everything that's in the program. The explanations are clearly given, plus there are video walkthroughs to show the activities in action. Completing the program is a time commitment, and does have significant cost to it - although it's actually less than the cost of weekly tutoring, and can be done at a time that fits your family's schedule.

I'm happy to be able to offer a giveaway to one reader with a struggling student. You'll receive one year's worth of materials - a $600 value. To enter the giveaway, leave a comment with the subject that was the hardest for you (or your kids) in school. Deadline is March 15th.

Disclosure: I received a complimentary subscription to facilitate this giveaway.
