Out of Print continues to take book allegiance to the next level with its second annual edition of Book Madness. Last year, over 41,000 votes were cast and To Kill a Mockingbird was victorious as champion of the classics. This year’s focus is 21st-century fiction.
In keeping with its mission of celebrating the world's great stories in new and unexpected ways, Out of Print is offering readers worldwide a chance to express their love of classic books in the form of a 64-book tournament.
Book Madness, in the spirit of college basketball's popular tournament known as “March Madness”, will pit book against book and allow bookworms to decide which will advance to the next round. In the end, one book will be left standing.
What will happen as The Road goes head-to-head with The Corrections? Will Harry Potter or The Hunger Games make it to the Final Four? Which will become this year’s “Cinderella story”? Only time and the votes from booklovers everywhere will tell.
To add to the excitement, with each vote, participants will be entered into a sweepstakes for a $500 Out of Print gift certificate among other prizes.
Voting begins on Monday, March 12th and the tournament will consist of six rounds of book-to-book match ups before one book is declared champion on Tuesday, April 3rd. All Book Madness action will be hosted at http://outofprintclothing.com/book-madness/.
