Consumer Critique: It’s a Big World, Little Pig!

I recently got to read It's a Big World, Little Pig! by Kristi Yamaguchi, who also wrote Dream Big, Little Pig!.

It’s a Big World, Little Pig! Follows Poppy as she heads to the World Games ice skating championship. She meets a variety of animals along the way, including a skiing Maltese and a snowboarding Panda. The book teaches a good lesson that we all look different, but everyone smiles in the same language. The illustrations are adorable, and my daughter, a girly girl preschooler, loved the skating theme.

As an added benefit, 100% of the profits from this book will benefit early childhood literacy and the Always Dream Foundation.

Kristi Yamaguchi, Olympic gold medalist, follows the motto “Always Dream” and aspires to pass that message on to children. Since her 1992 Olympics, she has toured with Stars on Ice, hosted TV specials, and written children’s books, among other projects. Her Always Dream Foundation supports children’s charities.

Illustrator Tim Bowers is an award-winning illustrator who has done the artwork for over 25 children’s books. He also helped launch the Shoebox Greetings card line for Hallmark.
