Consumer Critique: Fun Without Dick and Jane

Do you know people whose children have recently left home? Fun without Dick and Jane: A Guide to Your Delightfully Empty Nest might be a good gift for them. This book is targeted primarily to couple with children just recently into college (asking questions such as whether or not it's a good idea to move to an apartment by campus) but fits well with any relatively recent empty-nesters, touching on topics like dealing with a too-clean, too-quiet home; being willing to admit there are things you don't miss about having kids at home; and rediscovering interests/finding new ones.

I loved the sense of humor in this book. My kids are only 2 and 4, but I still enjoyed reading it. And even though my brothers and I have been out of the house for years, I still plan on passing it on to my parents to get a kick out of as well. It would make a great gift for any empty-nesters, especially at its low price.
