Area Attractions: Adventure Summit at the MN State Fair

If you're going to the MN State Fair this year, you'll definitely want to check this out. The Boy Scouts Adventure Summit is a free, interactive ropes climbing course and zip-line activity sponsored by the Northern Star Council Boy Scouts of America. Located in the North Woods area of the fairgrounds, the exciting course gives boys and girls ages 5 to 15 the chance to experience Scouting for a day. The highly visual and highly interactive course allows children to get active at the Fair. Participants must be at least 48 inches tall and less than 200 pounds. There is also a mini-course available for those too small to go on the regular course. The Adventure Summit is a smaller version of climbing and high ropes activities offered at the urban Scouting Base Camp at Fort Snelling, which opened in 2010.

Northern Star Council, BSA is headquartered in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. The Council serves more than 75,000 young people in 21 counties across central Minnesota and four counties in western Wisconsin.
