Consumer Critique: Personal Productivity Secrets

I had a chance to review Personal Productivity Secrets: Do what you never thought possible with your time and attention... and regain control of your life this summer, and I have to say that it has a rather pretentious title and goal - to go beyond what I think is possible and to regain control is a rather large task to tackle in a single book.

The book is geared towards being productive in a wired world, including topics such as going paperless, managing email and electronic calendars, and social media. But it also provides a lot of useful advice in clutter, clearing your mind, and in managing your attention (instead of your time).

I liked this book. It's very suitable for the time we live in and would be perfect for just about anyone working in a business environment. It also would be useful for people who don't necessarily work in an office, but just find that they aren't able to get as much done as they think they should be able to.

Note: no book is going to make you a superhuman and able to accomplish more than truly is possible. But a useful book will help you stretch what you think is possible, or make it possible for you to do moe than you're doing now.

Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of the book to facilitate this review.
