It's easy to think of delicious ways to make fruit smoothies, but have you thought of them for ways to get your vegetable servings in too? Some veggies - even those that traditionally don't have wide appeal - fit right in to smoothies. Try these options to pack in extra veggies to your diet (or use them on any picky eaters in your family).
- Puree 1 c blueberries, 1/2 c raspberries, and 1/4 c cooked beats with 1/4 c plain yogurt, 1/4 c OJ, and 1 tsp light agave.
- Puree 1/4 c sliced avocado and 1 c sliced mango with 1 T lime juice and 1 T honey.
- Puree 1 c spinach and 1 1/2 c chopped honeydew with 1/2 c plain yogurt.
- Puree 2 apricots, 1 apple, and 2 cooked carrots with 1 T honey.
