Parenting Pointers: Kids' Art

School is starting, and that often means you'll have lots of artwork that comes home, especially if your kids are in the younger grades. It's impossible to keep everything, but how can you show your child you do appreciate the art? Here are some ideas for ways to use and display it.

- Set aside a place in the house - a wall, the fridge, a bulletin board - and let your kids choose what art goes up. If the space gets full, they pick what gets taken off.
- Laminate flat artwork and turn it into placemats.
- Scan or take photos, and put them in a mini album or use them as desktop pictures or screensavers.
- Turn them into gift wrap, gift tags, or thank-you cards.
