Here's a round-up of some apps I recently found out about that have some helpful tools for parents.
1. iHomeopathy is an "at your fingertips" guide to treating first-aid emergencies, childhood ailments and common illnesses.
2. SurfBalance Safe Browser for Kids combines a full-screen mobile web browser with unique parental control features that go beyond website filtering to help
kids develop better web usage skills.
3.
Mint.com
is an iPhone app that allows you to keep a budget with minimal effort.
The service analyzes your bank accounts to see what you have been
spending money on.
4. Whip creates a social photo album with up to 24 photos in three easy steps, and includes
video, music and text, to share with friends and family via facebook, email or WhipStream.
5. Babyphone turns your phone into a baby monitor and rings when your baby wakes up, cries, or even spits out his/her pacify.
