Consumer Critique: Essential Living Aromatherapy Recipes

Aromatherapy is a technique that is becoming more and more widespread. Essential oils can be used for cleaning products, in beauty products, to relax and rejuvenate the mind and spirit, and more. Essential Living: Aromatherapy Recipes for Health & Homeis a well-organized book containing information you'll need to make all sorts of products for your home that are free of the chemicals contained in many mainstream brands. Using essential oils does require an initial investment, but these concentrated oils don't need much to be effective. I love making my own cleaning products, but I've never really dabbled with essential oils and aromatherapy - I found this book a great introduction into making it accessible for me.
If you're interested in learning more, or in adding knowledge as an aromatherapist as a career (especially if you already own a related business, such as massage, hair salon, etc), you can take classes in-person or online at the Aromahead Institute. There are also classes that people who just want to learn more can take, including one on making your own body butters and lip balms (what a great gift idea). You can also find some recipes, information, and education at the Aromahead blog and learn more when you like Aromatherapyeducation or visit pinterest.com/aromahead.
