Tubes: A Journey to the Center of the Internetis a fascinating read. Although I thought I knew pretty well how the Internet functions and the basic history, I still learned a lot from this book. Written by a correspondent from Wired magazine, the book is written in accessible language that is engaging and informative at the same time. My husband, a tech support specialist even more knowledgeable in the field than me, also has enjoyed what he's read so far. I've even been able to take out parts of the book to condense and simplify for my five-year-old when she asks questions about websites and computers talking to each other.
