Dressing up Baby: How
to find the perfect Costume for Any event
Dressing baby up for an event is a time for memories which
will resonate for a lifetime. With so much choice, it’s difficult to pick the
right costume for your next event. You don’t want to pick a costume which is
uncomfortable or distasteful, whilst at the same time making your child stand
out from the crowd.
Here’s how to pick the perfect baby costumes for any event,
complete with examples.
First Birthday
A baby’s first birthday is a major milestone; for you and
them. Dressing them up can make it a memorable birthday for all involved.
Costumes depend on the type of party you want to hold. Some parents opt for
themed parties, whereas others prefer to tell guests to come in whatever costumes
they want.
Since your baby is so young, stick to something you can
easily remove if needed. Children at this age tend to be very particular about
what they like. A superhero costume which fits on them just like their normal
clothing is a great option. Stay away from anything elaborate at this young
age.
Monthly Milestones
It’s nice to just mark a monthly milestone for the first two
years. They grow up so fast at this point. Why not plan a different theme every
month to celebrate each milestone?
At the moment, insect costumes have been popular. Become a
cuddly caterpillar or a beautiful butterfly for a day. They’re colorful and
kids just love the little wings and antennae poking out from the top.
Photo Shoots
It’s commonplace for parents to have a family photo shoot
with their new addition. Nothing is cuter than having the whole family dress up
for the event. You can do so much with photographs from a costume shoot.
Dress them up in anything from pirates to flowers. It’s a
way to bond with the family and develop a complete photo album of treasured
memories.
Halloween
Halloween is the one time of year where everyone dresses up;
whether they’re three or 33. Taking them around to neighbor’s houses to ‘trick
or treat’ for candy is something every child has fond memories of.
Prepare them by buying them a costume which makes them stand
out. You can go as simple or as complicated as you like. A simple ghost costume
adds a hint of mystery and makes them feel more confident. Alternatively, you
can dress them up as one of their favorite super hero characters, such as
Captain America and G.I. Joe.
Babies Need Costumes
Babies will always need a costume to make them the hit of
the party. Children draw so much from happiness just from being able to slip
into another character. For parents, it’s the chance to enjoy a unique event in
a unique way. Whether it’s a photo shoot or an evening travelling around the
neighborhood at Halloween, a costume makes the event.
