Did you know that September 7th is National Clean Out Your Garage Day? To help you tackle this task, I've got some tips to share from Crawford:
·
Go Vertical
– Garages provide ample wall and ceiling space to easily convert for
storage through use of hanging shelves, pegboards, storing rails and
overhead systems. For example, The
Lehigh Group makes a variety of Crawford®-brand flexible mesh storage organizers
that hang on the wall and can hold up to 25 lbs. They are particularly
suited to accommodate awkward or bulky items, from pet toys to work
gloves and camping equipment.
·
Securely Store Hazardous Items
– Place toxic materials such as paint, paint thinner, weed and bug
killers, fertilizer and gasoline in high cabinets or lockable tool
chests out of children’s
reach. Use well-supported shelves to store cleaning solutions and
vehicle fluids. Tool hangers, like the
Crawford®-brand smart system, work well to store tools and
extension cords. The steel rail can be hung on any type of wall. Select
models can hold up to 48 tools.
I got a chance to see the flexible organizer and smart system. Both were very easy to install, and very easy to use. It's great to have a place to store all the little toys and odds and ends that end up on the floor and all over the workbench - and now my husband doesn't have to move stuff around all the time to get things done!
I have a chance to give away a mesh flexible storage organizer and smart system. To enter, leave a comment with your biggest garage cleaning challenge. Deadline is August 31st, so hopefully you can get your organizer in time to clean out your garage on the 7th!
