Mealtime Magic: Healthy Breakfast Smoothies

Karlene Karst, creator of Sea-Licious Omega-3 supplements, wants to share some healthy smoothie recipes with you.

Green Smoothie
I love starting my day with a green smoothie packed with super foods and great nutrition. It really sets the day for energy, concentration and even if my day gets super busy, I feel with a healthy breakfast, I am in the right track.
You Will Need:
 · 1 cup almond or rice milk
 · 1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder
 · 2 generous handfuls of spinach
 · 1 frozen banana
 · 1 cup of frozen mixed berries
 · 1/4 tsp cinnamon
 · 1 tsp ground flaxseeds or ground chia seeds

How To:
 · Simply blend until smooth and enjoy!

Blueberry Almond Smoothie
Blueberries are a rich source of antioxidants, vitamin C and fiber. Combined with ricotta cheese for a nutritious dose of protein, and almonds for your healthy fats, this smoothie is the perfect breakfast or snack.
You Will Need:
 · 2 cups unflavoured almond milk
 · 2 cups blueberries
 · Juice of 1/2 lemon
 · 1 cup ricotta cheese
 · 1 Tbsp honey
 · 1 tsp vanilla extract
 · 1/2 tsp cinnamon
 · 1/3 cup raw almonds
 · ice cubes

How To:
 · Place all ingredients into blender container and blend until smooth, about 1 minute.

Nutty Buddy Peanut Butter Smoothie
Peanut butter and chocolate are 2 of my favorite foods, and in my opinion heaven-sent!:) This one is a must for my peanut butter lovers. Also a favorite with kids.
You Will Need:
 · 1 cup rice milk or nonfat milk
 · 1 banana
 · 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
 · 2 tablespoons raw honey (or less)
 · 2 tablespoons Barlean’s organic flax oil
 · 2 tablespoons wheat germ
 · 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
 · 2 cups ice

How To:
 · In a blender, combine ingredients and blend until smooth.

Strawberry and Cashew Nut Milk Smoothie
Rich, creamy and nutritious!
You Will Need:
 · 1/3/4 cups water
 · 1/3 cup cashews
 · 7 frozen strawberries
 · 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
 · 2 tablespoons Barlean’s Organic flax oil
 · 2 tablespoons raw honey

How To:
 · In a blender, combine ingredients in order listed and blend until rich and creamy.
 · If you desire additional protein, add 1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder.

Super Energy Elixir
Start your morning with this incredible Energy Elixir. You can feel the nutrition throughout your body. In Your Blender Or Vitamix, Add:
 · 4 cups of organic, tightly packed spinach
 · 2 bananas
 · 3 dates
 · 1 tsp of spirulina powder
 · 3 cups of water

Blend and drink throughout the day for maximum energy!
