Giveaway: Seasons of Gray

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

There are many Bible stories that are familiar to kids and adults, including the story of Joseph and his envious brothers. Although there are elements of many Bible kids and teens can understand, sometimes it's helpful to make it real by taking the story out of the Bible and into today's world. Seasons of Gray does just that - and not only does it help to reinforce a Bible story, but it also works as a secular film.

Brady is the clear favorite son, exiled from the ranch by his frustrated brothers. He then has a roller coaster of life, with undeserved accusations, a job, love, and jail time. Just like in the Bible story, forgiveness plays a huge role, as well as the idea that what man intends for evil, God uses for good.

I like how the movie is done. It's a family-friendly movie for those with older kids (preteens and up). There are a few adult themes that younger kids won't understand. The religious side isn't overtly preachy, so those who aren't regular churchgoers will be able to watch it without getting offended.

Interested? There are still showings in select cities, and the DVD will be available January 28th. You can also enter to win a copy of the DVD by leaving a comment with your favorite story of forgiveness. Deadline is January 28th.
