If you're a fan of Janette Oke books, you might might now that there's a television series produced and directed by Michael Landon Jr. called When Calls the Heart inspired by Oke's books. It tells the story of a high society teacher, Elizabeth, sent to teach on the western frontier in a coal town. After an explosion that kills men in the mine, many of their widows need to go work in the mines to keep their families afloat. Elizabeth learns to find her own way in this town so different from where she grew up.
Lost and Found is the first DVD in the series. It's Dove Approved for for All Ages, so you can watch it with your family without having to worry about anything inappropriate. My girls were a little sad about the mining explosion, and the story didn't always hold their interest, but they're also pretty little for a movie like this. If you like reading books by Janette Oke or are looking for solid family entertainment with a message, consider getting this movie.
