Parenting Pointers: Breaking the Mold of Toddler Parenting

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

Tovah Klein is a psychologist and expert on toddler development and behavior, and also the author of HOW TODDLERS THRIVE, a new book with a foreword by Sarah Jessica Parker. It's a great book that really helps parents see the world from a toddler's point of view - which is good, because none of us remember what it was like to be a toddler. She offers a lot of advice in this well-written book that is easy to understand and implement, although some of it runs counter to what we'd think. For example:

- Don't force your toddler to share. It can actually build resentment and prolong selfish behavior.
- Let your toddler make mistakes. That's how they learn.

You can read the first chapter for yourself, and then buy the book for more great insights on raising your child age 2-5.
