Have you ever seen some of those giant bubble wands? Wonki Wands are wands connected with string that make huge bubbles - bigger than I thought was possible! When I first saw the promo video, I was skeptical, but then I got to try some out on my own.
The moment of truth happened with my daughters and two other friends. There was quite a bit of frustration at first as we tried to get it to work. I used the Wonki bubble solution and put it on a dish, since the wands wouldn't fit in the bottle. The bubble kept breaking before it even got going. But then I used a different solution in a bottle with a wider mouth, and it worked like a charm. When I put the Wonki bubble solution in the large-mouth bottle it worked. So for me, it seemed I needed to use a bottle instead of a dish to get them to work.
The bubbles were huge - taller than my 4-year-old daughter! Even the kids could get pretty large bubbles going, and it was lots of fun. It's a great summer toy, and at $20 is pretty budget-friendly.
(The video shows it working well in a dish, but it never did for me. Maybe it depends how quickly or slowly the strings are pulled apart or something.)
