School is out in most areas and with the start of summer comes rainy days, breaks from camp, and inevitable cries of, “I’m bored!”  Keep your kids busy and creative this summer and have fun in the process by encouraging them to use existing household objects in artistic and unconventional ways.  Tape, glue, scissors, mounting supplies, colored masking tape and an imagination may be all you need to win $5,000!

I had the chance to interview Lifestyle Expert Brit Morin showcasing her maker masterpieces and educational creations AND giving tips on creative, affordable, and most of all FUN project ideas for this summer.

  • The MAKE AMAZING contest, presented by Scotch Blue®, invites creative DIYers of all ages to submit projects in the categories of Art, Decoration, and Education.
  • Submissions should come via Instagram using #makeamazing for a chance to win three, $5,000 cash prizes.
  • To be eligible, projects must include a Scotch Blue product and cannot have previously been submitted to any other contest. Submissions are due by 8/3/2014
