Caring Causes: Veil of Tears/Hope for Suffering Women

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

I recently watched a movie that was hard, but important to watch. Narrated by Natalie Grant, Veil of Tears tells the untold story of millions of women in India who are culturally oppressed for no other reason than the fact that they are women. This film was shot on-location across the stunning nation of India in some of the most remote tribal villages in the world today.

I watched parts of it with my older daughter (almost seven). Although the whole movie would be too intense, it was useful to watch a few scenes with her to help her understand how some women around the world are treated.

The website has a lot of great resources. You can find behind-the-scenes footage, how you can get a free movie night for your church, and how you can learn more, contribute financially, or become an advocate for oppressed women. Even if our society has its own issues with how it looks at women, it's nothing like the oppression in some parts of the world.
