Contest: The Flavor Pitch Pork Recipe Contest

It is opening week for the Flavor Pitch Pork Recipe Contest, welcoming people to pitch Pastor Jimenez, who serves as executive chef at Target Field, a game-winning recipe. More than 150 recipe entries will receive a prize. The best recipe, as selected by Chef Jimenez, will earn a 16-person Target Field suite package on Friday, Sept. 20 to watch the Minnesota Twins™ take on the Cleveland Indians™.

Until September 8, anyone can enter, review and vote for their favorite pork recipe. Only 10 finalists, as determined by votes, will be submitted for Chef Jimenez’s review and thus eligible for the grand prize. Jimenez’s recipe selection is to be based on his personal palate.

Prizes:
  • First 150 Recipe Entries– $5 Pork Gift Certificate
  • 10 Finalists – Minnesota Pork Cooking Kit (includes apron, utensils and cookbook)
  • 1 Grand Prize Winner – 16-person package to watch the Minnesota Twins take on the Cleveland Indians on September 20 (package includes dinner, game admission tickets and suite access for 16 people)
Contest Details
  • The Flavor Pitch Pork Recipe Contest closes 9/8/14 at 11:59 p.m. CST; enter and gather votes soon!
  • Pork must be an ingredient, but doesn’t have to be the primary ingredient.
  • Include an original photo of the prepared recipe. You can include a link to your recipe or type it out.
  • Open to anyone living in IA, MN, ND, SD or WI.

The Minnesota Pork Board
The Minnesota Pork Board administers programs relating to pork promotion, consumer and producer education and swine research on behalf of the 3,500 Minnesota pork producing families. These activities are funded through the Pork Checkoff. The MPB and the National Pork Board receive USDA oversight.
