Giveaway: The Big Book of Symptoms

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

This summer, you can get information about your child's health and medical issues from a trusted authority - the American Academy of Pediatrics is publishing The Big Book of Symptoms: A-Z Guide To Your Child’s Health (American Academy of Pediatrics, August, 2014). It covers over one hundred common childhood symptoms for kids of all ages. This is a great way to help evaluate symptoms so you don't worry too much over a common rash, but treat serious symptoms with the right sense of urgency. It also includes something everyone needs - a first aid guide, CPR chart, and safety and injury prevention tips.

The book is clearly written, suitable for anyone, even if you don't understand medical jargon. It clarifies  the differences between run-of-the-mill reactions and serious allergies, demystifies fevers, and more.

I have the chance to give away one copy. To enter, leave a comment with your most harrowing experience where knowing the cause of the symptom would have helped. For me, it was probably the rash my daughter got as a toddler in Michigan that was accompanied by mild nausea. Deadline is July 25th.
