Amazing Apps: Awakening Kingdoms

Big Fish just released Awakening Kingdoms, a free hidden object game with a fantasy theme. It's currently available for PC players and in the Apple App Store for iPad. The goal of the game is to search through beautifully designed scenes and play mini-games to earn gold, used to restore the castle and villages nearby.

I had never played hidden object apps. I wasn't really that interested in them, because word searches and object searches always bored me as a kid. This was a lot more fun than I expected, though. This type of game is easy to play for a few minutes at a time, and is a good way to occupy a little bit of time when you're waiting for something. My daughters enjoyed the game as much as I did, so it's a fun way to have the whole family working for a goal when you have some downtime.
