Indie musician and Chicago Public Schools teacher Matt Baron and his band Future Hits have a bilingual treat in store for both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking kids, families, and teachers with the release of their second album, Today is Forever / Hoy es para siempre, on Cinco de Mayo -- May 5, 2015.
Future Hits music is fun and educational. Each song on Today is Forever / Hoy es para siempre is sung first in English and later in Spanish, so that the album is great for native speakers of both, or those trying to learn the other language. Baron is a teacher, who writes songs reinforcing curriculum standards. He's good at what he does! My kids enjoyed the album. My only possible complaint is that for trying to learn a language, it would be nice to have the bilingual songs back-to-back instead of all English then all Spanish tracks. However, for a native speaker, this organization probably does work better.
