Everything You Ever Wanted is written by Jillian Lauren, who previously wrote a memoir about her life as an international concubine. The focus of this book is the unbelievable act of love that occurred when she, along with her rockstar husband, adopted a boy from Ethiopia with special needs. The story has elements that most mothers will relate to - love, a desire to make things work, the mama bear when things aren't going well for her son.
The book is well-written, and I found myself drawn into her story and the emotions she must have felt. It's an emotional read, and well worth the time. She has an amazing story, not just in this book, but across her whole life, and as an author and writer she gets the reader to feel things deeply and be drawn in.
