Fun Freetime: Dark Parables - Queen of Sands

Big Fish recently released Dark Parables: Queen of Sands, the 9th installment in this popular series from Blue Tea Games, on PC and Mac. The game will also release on iOS and Android devices later this Summer.

The Dark Parables games takes well known fairy tales and retells them in an exciting and interactive hidden object adventure, allowing players to experience the world first hand as the famous Fairy Tale Detective. The 9th game in the Dark Parables series, Dark Parables: Queen of Sands continues the adventures of the Fairy Tale Detective as you are called in to investigate strange happenings in the village of Montafleur, France where nightmares have come to life! Explore Montafleur and play hidden object scenes to collect the inventory items needed to complete puzzles and unlock the clues behind the source of this living nightmare.

I've never really been interested in hidden objects games until we got to review a previous one. My daughters absolutely love them - and they are actually pretty beneficial, I think. They teach attention to detail, observation skills, and focus. They're fairly quick to play, and when they have engaging animation - as this game does - it's a very appealing way to spend some time. It's nice that this game has sort of a plot or mystery behind the game - it makes it more interesting than just doing seek and finds over and over without something to draw a player into doing more.
