Thrifty Thinking: PureWrist

PureWrist is a new way to harness the magic of contactless payments at an affordable price.

By working with Mastercard pre-paid debit cards, PureWrist allows everyone, even people without credit, the ease of contactless payments through a wearable.

The minds behind PureWrist wanted to create a wearable that was not only helpful to consumers, but to society as a whole. Because of this mission, 20 percent of all operating income is donated to The National Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

I had a chance to interview Ari Gariner, co-founder of PureWrist,to learn more.

What was the inspiration behind PureWrist?
PureWrist was founded on the principles of the entrepreneurial spirit to create a business that made an impact.  We wanted to enhance what was being worn on the wrists of masses.  This development process led us to payment because we were looking 2-3 years down the line at the time at the future of the payments ecosystem here in the USA.

Who is the target audience?
Millennials living in metropolitan areas.

How does it benefit consumers?
It's your super easy on-the-go feel good everyday way to pay.  Simplicity, Meaning, Convenience, and Style.  We are also connecting your day to day routine purchases to something bigger than each and every one of us, philanthropy. It just makes sense.
