In All Creatures Big and Small, a clumsy new species of Nestrians, led by patriarch Dave and son Finny, find themselves left off the list of animals allowed to board Noah’s Ark. My own kids thought this was funny. They know the story of Noah's Ark, and at first my older daughter was confused because none of this is in the Bible, but both of them were able to expand their imaginations and realize that this wasn't supposed to be a re-telling, but rather a re-imagining. It was cute and humorous, with fun animation and family-friendly storytelling.
